About series Shadows of the past
Shadows of the Past is an original series of luminaires dedicated to cultural heritage and the exploration of the possibilities of light and shadow. Inspired by the forms of traditional Greek pottery, the designers have created asymmetrical wire elements, giving the classic silhouettes a radically modern twist. A central LED light source, concealed behind a frosted diffuser, creates soft lighting and a mesmerising play of shadows. The minimalist design is accentuated by concealed fixings, including the forward-looking use of magnets in the ceiling cup. Available in black and brass, these luminaires are not merely a source of light, but true works of art capable of transforming any interior.
Ancient heritage in contemporary design
The shape of the lamps, inspired by the silhouettes of ancient amphorae, bridges the past and the present, bringing an element of cultural heritage into the interior with a contemporary interpretation.
Light sculpture
The wire structure of the lampshade creates interesting visual effects, casting mesmerising shadows onto the walls and transforming the light into a dynamic light installation.
Duality of perception
The asymmetrical design with ‘inverted’ elements creates an intriguing visual effect that alters the perception of the lamp depending on the viewing angle and time of day.
