About series Boulder

Boulder takes its name from the art of climbing, where every hold asks for strength, precision and quiet stubbornness. In the same way that a climber finds a grip on a sheer wall, the decorative elements of the luminaire seem to catch onto a layered frame, building a rich, multi-faceted composition. It is a visual metaphor for reaching a summit, translated into light. The design plays textured glass against considered metalwork. Curved plates of textured glass sit firmly on the frame without visible fixings, so the lines stay clean and the shape of each piece stays honest. The metal is finished in a matt gold with a soft, quiet sheen that lifts every detail. Replaceable bulbs give a generous, all-round glow, and the light, refracted through the facets of the glass, brings out a lively play of reflections. The series includes a ceiling luminaire, pendants with five and nine lights and a wall model, with an adjustable three-metre chain on the pendants that adapts the design to rooms of very different heights.Boulder is a piece of contemporary classic, at home in living rooms and dining rooms as easily as in restaurants, banquet halls and hotel lobbies. Its layered forms and the noble dialogue of gold and glass do more than light the room: they give it architecture, movement and a quiet sense of reaching a summit.
