About series Double Moon
The Double Moon series is inspired by the ‘double moon’ phenomenon, a rare astronomical event in which an asteroid became a temporary satellite of our planet and formed a pair with the Moon. This phenomenon, symbolising the delicate balance between cosmic order and chaos, formed the basis of the design. Winner of the Red Dot and A’Design Awards, the series combines the poetry of this cosmic duo with modern technology.
The design is based on glass spheres with a tinted mirrored gradient that reflect light and their surroundings. Their radiance is accentuated by glossy black metal fittings. The luminaires are designed to conceal mounting components as much as possible: pendant models are fitted with a magnetic ceiling cup, whilst wall-mounted sconces feature a magnetic base. Soft lighting is provided by an LED source (3000K), concealed behind an acrylic diffuser; it illuminates the glass sphere from above and below, creating an effect of glow from within. In floor and battery-powered luminaires, the brightness is adjusted by holding down the power button. Wall-mounted sconces can be installed either vertically or horizontally

Concealed fixings
The magnetic ceiling cup for the pendant luminaire and the magnetic base of the wall luminaire conceal the mounting components and eliminate visual clutter
