This private house project located near Lyon in the Bourgoin-Jallieu area was designed by CLAI Architecture as a calm, well-balanced living environment where architecture, materials, and lighting work together to support everyday life.
The interior focuses on clarity, comfort, and natural light, creating spaces that feel both functional and welcoming. Carefully selected lighting elements help shape the atmosphere while enhancing the architectural structure of the home.
Which products were used in this project?
The lighting concept integrates decorative and architectural solutions from Maytoni to create a layered and versatile lighting scenario:
- Wall luminaire Renaissance — an elegant wall fixture that adds soft ambient lighting and decorative depth to the interior.
- Pendant luminaire Mollis — a refined pendant that introduces a sculptural element while providing comfortable, balanced illumination.
- Architectural lighting — integrated lighting solutions that subtly highlight volumes, surfaces, and transitions between spaces.
How does lighting support everyday living?
Thoughtful lighting design plays a key role in shaping how a home feels and functions. In this project, light is used not only for visibility but also to guide movement through the space, accent materials, and create a calm, harmonious atmosphere suitable for daily life.
A Layered Lighting Composition
By combining decorative luminaires with discreet architectural lighting, the designers created a multi-layered lighting environment. The Renaissance wall luminaires introduce warmth and texture, while Mollis pendants provide focal points and visual balance. Integrated lighting reinforces the architectural lines and ensures that every area of the home feels cohesive and comfortable.
