DarkSky Approved

Maytoni has been highlighted by DarkSky International for its commitment to responsible lighting solutions. DarkSky is an organization dedicated to restoring the nighttime environment and protecting communities from the harmful effects of light pollution, in part by certifying dark sky friendly outdoor lighting.

This endorsement confirms our efforts to reduce light pollution through our innovative products. DarkSky recognizes that our outdoor lighting not only enhances spaces but also promotes environmental sustainability

We always maintain high standards in everything, in production, in the right components. We meticulously delve into every detail of our product. We take the life of the product seriously and increase the warranty to 5 years.
In 2021, Maytoni opened its own lighting lab to develop quality control for luminaires.

Invisible to the eye, strong light pulsations impact well-being and induce fatigue. This is why Maytoni’s high-quality drivers ensure less than 5% ripple factor. Creating comfort requires high-quality power supplies to diminish light ripple and counter the blinding effect.

The blinding effect is assessed via UGR (Unified Glare Rating), where lower values indicate greater comfort. UGR < 19 suffices for most rooms.
Maytoni fixtures are meticulously designed to diminish glare and visual discomfort. Solutions like concealed light sources, acrylic diffusers, anti-glare accessories, wide beam angles, and recessed light sources reduce glare and UGR.

Repurpose Recycle

LED last longer & Low Energy Costs

LEDs, for example, are extremely energy efficient, lasting over 100 times longer than incandescent bulbs, and up to 10 times longer than CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps). Total LED replacement of all conventional lighting in existence would save 53% of CO2 worldwide, and here at Maytoni we ensure at least 50% of our assortment is LED lighting.

Repurpose not replace

Our high-quality products, designed with longevity in mind, mean they last longer with less need to replace. The aim is to keep our products out of landfill for as long as possible.

Making a material difference

We also encourage the repurposing of our lights wherever possible, giving them second or third lives in someone else’s home. There is a broader, societal shift in favour of this and we encourage it.
